Councillor Ruby Anwar is the Chair of Governors at two local primary schools, teaches at Nelson and Colne College and has three young children.
Ruby says: “You have to be organised to juggle family, work and council commitments but I have enjoyed getting to know the ward and its residents better over the last year.
The Conservatives are determined to cut local services and I am determined to fight to keep them.”
LET'S TACKLE DANGEROUS DRIVING
Manzar says: "Dangerous driving has been raised on the doorstep many times. In Vivary Bridge, Spring Lane, Stanley Street and Queen Street are just some of the hot spots Identified."
Ann Marie added: "Recently, Labour presented a budget and plans to work together with the police, Lancashire County Council Highways and other agencies for a new approach to tackle the issue. The Conservatives voted the proposal down with no alternative plan."
