MONDAY Azhar attended the Pendle Memory Choir run by a group called ‘AWESOME’ (Artistic Well-being Experience) for people with dementia and those with other challenging illnesses.
"It was a truly wonderful atmosphere watching the people's eyes light up and seeing the broad smiles on everyone’s faces once the singing started... even I joined in ..!"
They meet on Monday’s at St John Methodist Church, Albert Rd Colne between 1-3 pm.
"I would like to thank the wonderful ladies who run this amazing project which keeps people out of hospital, and also puts a smile on people's faces."
That’s why it’s so important to invest in wellbeing projects like this to help keep people out of hospital and to help improve the wellbeing of those with illnesses like dementia and also their carers.
Special thanks to Anne, Issy and Hilary.
